What's behind our denim fabric ?

Denim is an essential part of any wardrobe. Timeless and unrivalled, denim jeans are made of a woven fabric that belongs to the large warp and weft fabric family.

A warp and weft weave is made up of a "warp" thread and a "weft" thread that intersect, vertically for the warp thread and horizontally for the weft thread.

The main advantage of denim is that it works well for so many products: jeans, jackets, shirts, skirts, caps... nothing resists it, and certainly not the years! Denim is an extremely fashionable product that comes in different shapes and colours for both children and adults.

The different cuts of jeans at Petit Bateau:

Straight jeans are a classic, timeless cut. They are comfortable jeans that fit all body types.

High-waisted jeans are a must-have at any age. Fitted at the waist, they can have both straight and wide legs, creating different styles.

Mom jeans allow you to run around freely with no fear of being uncomfortable.

Want a surefire way to finish a look? Loose jeans are casual, always on-trend and flatter the figure.

Some care tips from our quality department

To care for your denim and keep its unique look, turn your garment inside out when you wash it to prevent unwanted streaking. We also recommend that you avoid contact with light-coloured clothing whether you are machine or hand washing.

Please take a little time to read the care symbols and washing instructions on the label inside your garment, as every garment is different.
