  • This baby's bodysuit is made in 1x1 rib napped zephyr and features Petit Bateau's iconic milleraies stripes. It has a roll neck that makes it an essential item in a baby's winter layette. Note the practical snap button openings on the back and between the legs. A basic baby's bodysuit that both soft and warm.

A brand, a story

Where does the name come from? It's nothing to do with hosiery, Pierre Valton's original job when he founded the company in 1893. It's all down to his son Etienne, who invented underpants in 1918 and was inspired by the French nursery rhyme "Maman les p'tits bateaux" that his wife would sing to their children. And so the brand and the nursery rhyme became inextricably linked!
